What is the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG)?

The Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) transposes the European Accessibility Directive (European Accessibility Act, EAA) into national law. Its aim is to design products and services in such a way that they are accessible to all people – regardless of physical or mental disabilities.

Websites and apps must comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 minimum standard). This includes, among other things, alternative text for images, simple and intuitive navigation, high-contrast colors, and the ability to interact with content without a mouse.

Accessibility statement

We strive to make the website www.glorit.at accessible in accordance with the Federal Act on Barrier-Free Access to Websites and Mobile Applications of the Federal Government (Web Accessibility Act – WZG, Federal Law Gazette I No. 59/2019 as amended).

As part of our digital accessibility efforts, we have implemented the following adjustments according to WCAG 2.2 AA, among others:

  • Optimization of transparencies and contrasts
  • Accessible design of the input fields in the inquiry form
  • Marking links for screen readers
  • Adding alternative text to images

Content that is not yet or only partially accessible

  • Videos: Some videos do not yet have subtitles. This will be taken into account and added in future productions.
  • Heading structure: Some sub-pages lack a correctly marked H1 heading as the main element.
  • Images: Some images have no alternative text or no meaningful alternative text.
